PREP
Whether you’re curling or straightening your hair, it should be fully dry and brushed. For extra protection, evenly spritz our Flame Fighter — a moisturizing heat protectant that conditions your hair while shielding it from thermal damage.
Another good tip is not to do large pieces of hair all at once. Depending on the thickness of your hair, it can look like 4 sections or 10 sections, but they should be about 1” to 3” thick.
Secure your sections with hair clips or pins until you're ready to straighten. We suggest our angelic 444 Hair pins.
STRAIGHTENING
When straightening your hair, you want to start at near the root of your hair (1-2 inches away), grab one of the small sections you already divided, and slowly slide the hair styler down to your tips. Repeat this until all the sections are straight.
For straightening (and curling), we recommend a 370 degree maximum setting for fine, thin, or damaged hair, 390-410 degree setting for normal, medium, healthy hair, 410-430 degree setting for thick, coarse, curly hair and 450 degree setting for professional use (use hotter settings with extra caution babes).

CURL HAIR WITH STRAIGHTENER (Easy)
For curling, follow all of the prep steps listed above and then take the professional hair styler approximately where you want the curls to start (using your temple as a visual is a good place to start).
Like straightening, if you’re nervous about curling your hair with a flat iron for the first time, try it without any heat! Let yourself get comfortable handling the tool before turning it on.
When you’re comfortable, with 1” to 3” sections of hair (depending on your hair texture) place your hair in between the blades and then wrap it around the flat iron. Once it's safely wrapped around the black titanium plates, glide the 2 in 1 tool away from you, all the way to your ends as shown in the video below.
When the tips slip through the styler, the curl will twist into beautiful, wavy curls. Gently massage your roots for a more casual look. If you want a messy wavy look, don’t curl every piece of your hair. By leaving some strands straight, it’ll look effortlessly beachy.
