So, what’s synthetic hair?
Synthetic hair is machine-made hair — there’s synthetic clip in extensions, synthetic wigs, even synthetic bangs (innovation has come a LONG way in this category). Different hair companies will make and offer different types of synthetic hair. INSERT NAME HERE’s experts have tested rigorously to create the closest person-made alternative to human hair aka biomimetic vegan hair*: INFINI-FLEX™.
*biomimetic is a person made material that mimics nature, in this case natural hair!
What are the different types of extensions?
At INSERT NAME HERE, we offer two types of extensions: 100% pure remy Human Hair extensions and our proprietary INFINI-FLEX™ vegan hair extensions.
What’s the difference between synthetic hair vs human hair?
Synthetic hair is made in a lab– human hair is, well, real human hair grown on our heads. At INSERT NAME HERE, we offer INFINI-FLEX™ synthetic hair and 100% pure Remy Human Hair.
Our 100% Remy human hair is made with the highest quality, ethically sourced human hair. It’s never mixed with animal hair or synthetic hair, and we exclusively work with distributors who have been vetted and verified to operate ethical and sustainable practices.
Our INFINI-FLEX™ synthetic hair is the most realistic person-made hair on the market. It’s a budget-friendly, low effort vegan alternative to human hair which makes it perfect for all hair lovers but especially beginners.
The main difference is that Remy human hair extensions & bangs can be customized, with the ability to heat style & dye just like your real hair. INFINI-FLEX™ hair cannot be dyed, and if you straighten or curl it (though it is high heat friendly) our INFINI-FLEX™ technology will remember that new style– therefore you can make curly styles permanently straight or vice versa if you want to. Its original pre-styled texture will not come back.
The caveat to Remy hair extensions is that you’re paying for the quality of hair (which can be expensive!). Remy human hair is considered a premium option for hair extensions and hair pieces. Our 100% Remy human hair is salon quality-- it can last for years (3x longer than other brands) and is considered the highest grade of human hair because the cuticles are kept intact (not stripped). This prevents abrasion, tangling and damageー keeping hair silky and shiny.
Other than price, the main drawback to human hair is required maintenance– as with natural hair, it requires effort & styling. Keep in mind that human hair rarely comes out of the box ready to wear. You may choose to have it customized by a professional stylist to get exactly the look you want.
It does take a bit of extra effort… but it is worth it if you’re ready for the investment!

With technological advances, synthetic hair has come a long way in recent years. In some cases it is difficult to tell the difference– the density and texture are such that they feel almost exactly like human hair. With some of the higher quality synthetic pieces like our INFINI-FLEX™ hair pieces, you would never know they were not natural human hair!
The most appealing aspect to synthetic hair is it can often be worn right out of the box with little or no styling. This ready to wear, weatherproof, low maintenance fiber never loses its style or vibrancy. We’re talking ever-lasting salon hair color & a style that withstands humidity, washing, you name it– so it's always ready to wear when you are.
With proper care, the style “flexes” back to its original form (as if brand new out of the bag!) even after years of wearing, washing or brushing. The fiber has "memory" for wave, curl and volume which lets hair bounce back into place with minimal effort or maintenance– the curl pattern is permanently set. It can even hold up in bad weather or after a long day of wear and can guarantee it doesn’t fall flat or frizz out. If you straighten or curl up to 160°C / 320ºF, our INFINI-FLEX™ technology will remember that new style.

What’s the difference between INFINI-FLEX™ and other types of synthetic hair?
When it comes to hair we have a long wish list. We couldn’t find what we were looking for, so we made it ourselves. When developing our hair pieces our Co-Founders Sharon & Jordynn ordered synthetic hair to study it and were shocked by the poor quality!
INFINI-FLEX™ is made to mimic our dream hair: perfectly styled, soft, smooth, healthy looking, luxurious & strong. It’s not thin, flammable, plasticy, unrealistic & unnaturally shiny like other cheap synthetics.
Ours is a real feel fiber that, like healthy human hair, reflects light on an even & thus “healthy” surface where the cuticle is smooth. The light reflected from our INFINI-FLEX™ strands creates color depth & dimensional shine.
Can you dye synthetic hair?
We do not recommend dying our synthetic fiber — just like with real hair, dying poses risks of damage. However, some INH Babes have been successful in doing so (please join our INH Babes community group to learn more).
Can synthetic hair be curled or straightened?
Our INFINI-FLEX™ hair is heat-resistant up to 320°F. However, use hot tools with caution! Our pre-styled pieces are all given their own special style. Once you heat style them their original style will not return. If you straighten or curl up to 160°C / 320°F, our INFINI-FLEX™ technology will remember that new style.
Pro tip for curling: Curl in uniform sections. Hold for a few seconds until warm– then drop the curl into the palm of your hand and let sit in a coil to cool and set before dropping. Repeat this step for each curl until complete. This allows the hair to set permanently.
Can synthetic hair be washed?
Yes! All of our products can be washed. We recommend using a gentle shampoo for our INFINI-FLEX™ synthetic hair products. Remember to only wash when needed and let air dry! For more information on caring for your INSERT NAME HERE hair check out our helpful guide.

@VIVIAN WASHINGTON – To detangle your curly ponies, we recommend using a wide-tooth comb for optimal results. The next steps are similar to how you would brush any other ponytail. Lay your ponytail on a flat surface and hold the hair about 4 inches from the end of the ponytail. Comb out any tangles at the ends. Once the bottom section is detangled, hold the mid section and repeat the process moving up towards the base.
Pro Tip: After you comb her, you can mist her with water or a light shine spray. Then tousle her gently to restore her natural curl texture.
